InXtend Back-Posting Sentinel for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central

See every posting into a period you already reported, and how the reported balances changed.

When a period is reported, Back-Posting Sentinel stores the balance and net change of every G/L account in a period snapshot. From then on, every G/L entry dated into a reported period is logged when it is posted, with user, source code, document and amount, and a daily scan catches anything missed.

What it does

Period snapshots
Store reported balances per G/L account, optionally per global dimension, from Accounting Periods.
Detection at posting
Journals, documents and reversals are caught as they post, with a catch-up scan.
Back-Postings worklist
Review entries, mark them as reviewed and follow the count on a role center cue.
Compare to Snapshot
Reported balance, current balance and difference per account.
Re-baseline with history
Take a new snapshot after approved adjustments and keep every earlier version.
Daily digest
Controllers receive a summary email through the standard email setup.
