InXtend Warehouse Mobile · Receive · Essentials
Receiving in Business Central still done on paper and typed in later?
InXtend Warehouse Mobile receives on the handheld against the purchase order, sales return, inbound transfer or warehouse receipt, and posts through the same routine the location already uses.
The screens are illustrations of an app in development.
What standard Business Central does
Standard Business Central decides from four Location card settings whether receiving posts the purchase receipt, the inventory put-away or the warehouse receipt, and its mobile app can scan a barcode into a field.
Where it stops
It does not guide a receiver through the delivery, read lot and expiry from a GS1 label, or hold the scan when the Wi-Fi drops at the dock door.
What Warehouse Mobile is being built to add
Warehouse Mobile is being built to read the location's setup, stage every scan, check it, and post it once.
Receive the delivery. Scan by scan.
| Step | On screen | Caption |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Pick the delivery | Expected deliveries for the location, with the warehouse receipt if there is one. |
| 2 | One scan, all the data | A GS1 label fills item, lot, expiration date and quantity at once. |
| 3 | Count what arrived | The outstanding quantity is suggested. Over-receipt only where the location allows it. |
| 4 | Scan the receiving bin | At bin-mandatory locations the bin is checked before anything posts. |
| 5 | Posted once, through the right routine | The banner says what Business Central posted: the receipt, or the receipt and a put-away. |
