Item Lifecycle Status

Every item gets a status: New, Active, Phase-Out or Discontinued. New items can be held back from sales, phase-out items are refused on purchases with the replacement named, and a nightly job discontinues phase-out items once stock and open documents are gone. Discontinued items use the standard block fields.

What it does
