Item Configurator

Salespeople answer a configuration template on the quote or order line. Rules and matrices check the answers, cost rolls up from material and work-center rates, and the app either creates a new item with its production BOM and routing or stamps an order-specific BOM and routing version on a family item.

What it does

Templates and rules

Question groups, option price adders and a rule engine that requires, excludes, suggests or sets values.

Cost and price

Material and capacity cost roll-up, priced by markup, target margin or fixed price, with a minimum-margin guard.

Two output modes

Create a new item with BOM and routing, or a per-order BOM version and routing version on a family item.

Item reuse

Identical answers reuse the item already created instead of adding a duplicate.

Survives the document flow

Configurations carry through quote to order, blanket order to order, and copy document.
