Minimum Margin Guard

In Business Central, profit shows up in document statistics after the fact. Minimum Margin Guard shows the margin on every item line, warns users while they enter a low-margin line, and stops release or posting below a hard floor until an authorized person approves the exception with a reason.

What it does

Margin rules

Per item, item category, customer price group, salesperson or all lines, with validity dates.

Warning and floor

A minimum margin for warnings and a hard floor for blocking; the most specific rule wins.

Margin % on lines

Shown on sales quote, order and invoice lines, colored below the limits.

Release and posting blocked

All offending lines are listed together.

Override with a reason

Users with permission override on the line, written to an audit log.

Below-margin list

A list of below-margin sales lines for sales managers.
