Special Order Reservation

A special-order purchase is bought for one sales order, but Business Central doesn't reserve it, so the stock can be picked for someone else when it arrives. Special Order Reservation reserves the purchase line against its sales line when the purchase order is created, at receipt or both, and shows every special order with its purchase, reservation and shipment status.

What it does

Automatic reservation

Reserves at purchase order creation, at receipt or both, through Business Central's standard reservation routines.

Moves with the goods

On receipt the reservation follows the received stock to the sales line.

Exceptions

Exclude items or customers, and limit it to items whose Reserve setting allows it.

Special Orders list

Sales lines with their linked purchase order, reserved, received and shipped quantities.
